Light held in film, glass and quiet distortion.

Close study of translucent materials and reflected light

Visual Study · 2026 · 04 min

Light held in film. Light held in glass. Light that refuses to decide whether it is still there.

This study looks at materials that keep a signal after the source has moved: translucent sheets, edges, a slight distortion that is not an error. The photograph is not evidence of a performance. It is a surface that continues to listen.

Afterimage is not a metaphor here. It is a working method. What remains on the retina is close to what remains in a room when the sound is gone.
