AETHER on Pressure and Release

Interview · 2026 · 07 minAETHER

I build pressure the way others build rooms.

AETHER describes techno as temporary architecture for the body. Not a backdrop. A structure the listener has to pass through.

In Lisbon the work is dense on purpose. Friction is a material. Release is not a drop in the commercial sense. It is a door opening after the air has been held too long.

We talk about Signal Loss, about the single as a short building rather than a statement. AETHER is not interested in illustrating a night. The track is the night’s pressure, compressed until it can travel.
